Q: Will all the events be in person this year?
A: Alumni Reunion Weekend is an in-person event to celebrate alumni celebrating their 50th class year milestone plus all pioneers that graduated between 1965-1973. One event (on Thursday night) will be made available virtually to celebrate our alumni who cannot make it to campus.
Q: Who is invited to Alumni Reunion Weekend?
A: Alumni Reunion Weekend is designed to celebrate and honor our Golden Slug alumni from the graduating classes of 1965-1973.
Q: Is registration free for Alumni Reunion Weekend?
A: For those who register by April 1, 2023, registration is $50. If you register after April 1, the registration increases to $75. This cost covers parking options, dining hall lunch options, reception on Friday, commemorative keepsake, and more.
Q: What platform will be used for the virtual event?
A: We will be using Zoom for the Thursday evening virtual event. If you register for the virtual event, you will receive an individual Zoom login via email.
Q: What is the COVID-19 protocol for on-campus events?
A: UC Santa Cruz has a page devoted to COVID-19 guidelines for on-campus visitors and guests. Please visit Slug Strong for more information.
Q: Do I have to pay for parking?
A: Friday, April 14 - Parking is complementary in the Cowell and Stevenson parking lots on Friday evening.
Saturday, April 15 - Complimentary parking will be available at various college lots throughout campus. Lots will either be open and available to park free of charge or an attendant will be on site to provide you with a complimentary parking pass. If you would like to park at other locations around campus, you may have to pay for parking. There are ParkMobile stations available across campus and we suggest downloading the ParkMobile app on your phone before arriving.
In addition, the East Remote parking lot will have continuous shuttle service from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm running to the campus quarry as a part of Banana Slug Day for admitted students. Alumni Reunion Weekend participants are welcome to take the shuttles.
